Hardware funds explained

New phones for the team, funded by your plan.

Many EE business plans come with a hardware fund: a pot of credit built into your contract that you spend on new kit.

Instead of paying for handsets upfront, you use the fund for the phones, tablets and accessories your team needs. You decide the mix. One person might want the latest iPhone, another a tough phone for site work, and the office might need a couple of tablets.

The size of the fund depends on the plan, the number of lines and the contract length. We'll show you the options side by side, so you can choose between a bigger fund and a lower monthly price, with no small print hiding the difference.

Can we keep our existing mobile numbers?

Yes. We move your numbers across from your current network using a PAC code, usually with very little downtime. We agree the date with you so nobody is caught out.

What is a hardware fund?

A hardware fund is credit built into your business mobile contract that you spend on handsets, tablets and accessories, instead of buying them upfront. The amount depends on the plan, the number of lines and the contract length.

Is EE coverage good where we work?

EE was named best UK mobile operator in RootMetrics' H1 2026 study, but coverage still varies by location and building. We'll check coverage at your premises and the areas your team covers before you sign.

Can we mix SIM only and handset plans?

Yes. Most businesses have a mix. Some people need a new phone and others are happy with the one they have.

Can we add lines during the contract?

Yes. Adding new starters is easy, and we'll set them up and send them a ready-to-use phone.

What happens if a phone is lost or stolen?

Call us and we'll bar the SIM straight away and arrange a replacement, so you're not paying for someone else's calls.

Can our mobiles show the office number?

Yes, using the app from our cloud phone system. Staff make and take calls on the business number from their mobile.
