IoT SIM cards in numbers
What they're used for
Keep every device online, wherever it is.
Pick a use to see how an IoT SIM helps.
Cameras that stay connected, even off-grid.
Connect cameras on building sites, car parks, farms and temporary locations without a broadband line. Static IPs make remote viewing simple and secure.
- Remote viewing from your phone or control room
- Static public or private IP addresses
- Ideal for temporary and towable CCTV
Replace the copper line before it's switched off.
Alarms, lift emergency lines and door entry systems that rely on old phone lines need a new route before the 31 January 2027 switch-off. A multi-network SIM gives them a resilient connection.
- Connects to the strongest available network
- No reliance on the building's broadband
- Works alongside dual-path alarm communicators
Card payments that don't stop when the WiFi does.
Keep card machines, tills and kiosks taking payments at markets, events, pop-ups and busy shops, with a connection that doesn't depend on the venue.
- Secure private networking for payment data
- Pooled data across all your terminals
- Quick to deploy for events and pop-ups
Track vehicles and assets across the UK and abroad.
Multi-network roaming keeps trackers and telematics online as vehicles move between coverage areas, and across borders with data in 191 countries.
- Automatic switching to the strongest network
- Roaming across Europe and beyond
- Low-cost plans for low-data devices
Internet for sites, and backup when the line fails.
Put a data SIM in a 4G or 5G router for site cabins, pop-up offices and events, or as an automatic backup for your business broadband.
- Automatic failover from your main line
- Fast to deploy on new sites
- 5G where it's available
Screens, meters and sensors that just work.
Connect digital signage, smart meters, environmental sensors and telemetry. From tiny NB-IoT data plans to fast 5G, there's a plan for every device.
- NB-IoT for low-power, low-data sensors
- 5G for high-bandwidth devices
- eSIM and eUICC options
What you get
Business-grade connectivity for things, not people.
-
Multi-network roaming
SIMs connect to the strongest network available and switch automatically if one has a problem.
-
Static & private IPs
Fixed public or private IP addresses, so devices can be reached securely and reliably.
-
Secure private networking
Encrypted tunnels (VPN, IPsec and L2TP) carry device data straight into your own network.
-
Pooled data
Share one data bundle across every SIM, so busy devices borrow from quiet ones.
-
SIM management portal
See usage, spot problems and manage every SIM in one place.
-
SIMs for every device
Standard, micro and nano SIMs, plus eSIM and eUICC for devices built for the field.

FAQs
IoT SIM card questions.
Can't see your question? Ask us. A real person will answer.
What is an IoT SIM card?
An IoT (Internet of Things) or M2M SIM is a data SIM designed for devices rather than people, such as cameras, alarms, card terminals, trackers and routers. It's built for reliability, security and managing lots of SIMs at once.
How is it different from a normal mobile SIM?
A normal SIM is locked to one network. A multi-network IoT SIM can connect to whichever network has the strongest signal, offers static IPs and private networking, and is managed from a portal with pooled data across all your devices.
How much data do I need?
It varies hugely. A sensor or alarm might use a few megabytes a month, while a CCTV camera streaming remotely can use many gigabytes. Tell us about your devices and we'll recommend the right plan, with pooled data to smooth out the peaks.
Can an IoT SIM replace my alarm's phone line?
In many cases, yes. With the PSTN switch-off due on 31 January 2027, alarms and lift lines on copper lines need a new route. Paired with the right communicator, a multi-network SIM gives a reliable connection. We'll check your equipment first.
Do the SIMs work abroad?
Yes. Devices can send and receive data in 191 countries across more than 430 partner networks, which makes them ideal for vehicles and equipment that travel.
Can I get a static IP address?
Yes. Fixed public or private IP addresses are available, which makes remote access to cameras and equipment simple and secure.
Can I test before rolling out?
Yes. We can check coverage at your locations and provide test SIMs, so you know it works before you deploy across your estate.
